LIBRARY
Rules for adoption:

1:  You must have a web site.  You child needs a place to live, after all.   (It does not have to be a ThunderCats site!)  If you do not have a website, I can reserve a child for a week only while you make one.  After that, the child will be set back to "available".  The website MUST be viewable by everyone!  Please, no online journals that are set so that only certain people can view it, or websites that require a password.

2: Your web site can have adult material on it, but it must not be an all adult site, or link to an all adult site.  The area that you put the picture on can't be the page where the adult material is.  No hate/racial/etc. sites.  (My discretion.)

3: Any plans on killing the character or doing something else heinous to it for a joke means the child will be put back up for adoption and your name taken off the registry.  This is an in character adoption site, and isn't meant for a joke.

4:  Only three cubs per parent to begin with.  Possibility of others later, if available. (For people who are really good online parents and actually do things with the children online, such as journals, or fanfiction, or other such updates will be allowed others, on a case-by-case basis.)

5:  You must put a link to the main page of the adoption agency either on the same one the child is on, or the "nursery" or "playroom" site that links to the kids.

Feel free to use this graphic to do so if you'd like:

6:  If I send you a cub, you have two weeks to get him or her (or it) up on the website and named before I send a confirmation asking if the cubs are up. After that you have another two weeks before the children are assumed unwanted by the webmaster and put back up for adoption. This keeps things much easier to keep straight, and prevents people saying "I want this cub" but never putting them up on a web site.

7: Have fun!

NOTE:  We have a mailing list, at the registry, for major updates to the orphanage and its associated places.  That is here.

To adopt:

Please send me an EMail with "adoption request" somewhere in the body.  Please state which child you want to adopt (tell me the dorm, race, the age, and the gender) and send me the web site that they will eventually be on.  CONTROL will run a check on you of course, as per regulation (in other words I'll check out the web site) and then you will be sent the picture.

Information:

Please keep in mind that there are exceptions to every rule, and that these are only generalities and averages.  Every child is different and you will have to spend time with you child to find out what he or she is like.

Thunderians:

Thunderians come from the planet of Thundera, whose destruction caused many of our children to come here.  The code that the governmental bodies teach their people and make their laws by can be summed up in the following  phrase:  Truth, Justice, Honor, and Loyalty.

There are many different kinds of cat.  The Lions traditionally lead, but the Tigers and Jaguars also have a large hand in the government and      monarchy.   The main  races are those two, along with the Panthers and Cheetahs.  For just about every kind of cat you can think of, there is a Thunderian who has evolved from them.

Some, like the panthers and lions are extraordinarily strong, and are must be taken what kinds of toys and  things to buy for him.  The cheetahs are fast, and need to be watched when very young so they don't get hurt or run  somewhere they should not be.

Most Thunderians tend to have an air of confidence, even if they are not particularly bold, and this comes from breeding and eons of evolution from the proud cats.

There what are known as Throwbacks, who have muzzles and sometimes tails and legs that bend like a cat's.  There can be  problems with them, as they often have the instincts of their more feral ancestors, and require special care.  Some may go into heat, and many have long claws that extend and can cause damage.  A child should never be declawed, although keeping them trimmed like most adults do with their own nails should keep accidents to a minimum.

There are Thunderians that are not complete throwback, who look  mostly like others, except for subtle feral features such as the  extending claws, more fur, pointed teeth...  These show fewer of the feral instincts, but should still be monitored so you can teach them how to deal with their differences with confidence and pride.

Mutants:

The Mutants of Plundaar are far more bestial in appearance than the Thunderians.  They evolved from many different animals, not including cats, as cats were not indigenous to their planet.  Many are descended from animals most humans recognize from their long-ago past, and a rare few evolved from ones not so familiar.

Plundaar is a place of oppression and cruelty.  The government keeps the good people repressed, and the corrupt ones in power, so their own positions can be assured.  Many Plundaarian children grow up either  very submissive and timid, or extremely aggressive, having learned this is how they stay alive and how they get what they want.

Of course there are a good many who grow up with decent families, just like anyone else, but it is difficult to be a decent person on the planet's surface.

The reptilians generally lead, and they are the biggest of the races, for the most part.  The Monkians are often aggressive, and very strong.  Like panthers, toys that do not break easily are best.

Lunattacks:

The Lunattacks of Plundaar live on the planet's moons.  There are five main races of them, but many minor ones.  It is important to know the powers and abilities of the races, because many Lunarian children need to be taught how to use their powers.  As with a Thunderian's claws, a Lunarian child should never be subjected to anything that will hinder their powers, unless they are very young, and don't understand yet what they're doing.  And then only if there is danger of them or someone else getting hurt.

Psys' mind powers vary.  Some can control minds wit or without the aid of a staff made for that very purpose.  Some are telekinetic, and can move objects with nothing but mind power and some can speak telepathically.  Some few  can  do two or more of these things as they get older.  Older children will be able to tell you what they can do, but with little ones, you need to watch and find out.

Ice clan children can blow breath so cold it will freeze most things on contact.  This will not kill, usually, but put the target into something very like cryo sleep.  The biggest danger is that they can shoot   a beam of heat from their hands that will instantly melt the ice, but this is also a fire hazard.

Graviton children are strong, stronger than any other clan of the moons.  They are dense, physically, and weigh more than most children of the same size.  Many adults have  cybernetics grafted to their legs to enhance their powerful jumping ability.  (This is a painful process and very few children are subjected to it.  it is not even legal on most planets for children to bear these cybernetics.)  Don't be surprised if you find your child on the roof of the shed someday.

The Darkling clan is known by many names: Infra, Redeye, and a few others.  Again, often using cybernetics to enhance it, their specialty is sight.  Unaided, a Darkling can see through unshielded walls, can see heat signatures, infra-red, and ultra-violet.  They see at least three times the color that humans do, and many other different kinds of light.

The royal clan has no special powers or abilities.  Although many have far higher IQs than most, there are also many who have far lesser.  They are traditionally the ruling clan of the moons, though the other moons often are in a disagreement about this.  The royal clan, also called the Lunar clan, are short in stature,  the  tallest being around four foot, and at the small extreme, two.  There are  records of some being an unheard of  six feet, but that is extremely rare.

There are others, of course.  The hyperaudios can hear great distances, can her sub-sonic and ultra-sonic sounds. Care must be taken with these, as ultrasonic  noise is very painful., and can easily damage their ears.

There is a clan they call Generics, which are small statured, white-skinned, and  have clear hair.  They can be born to any clan, and are seen as genetic inferiors, and often put into slavery at very young ages.  They have no powers or skills, but are tough, and eat far less than most other sentient beings.

The Brute clan is a race of low-sentience Lunattacks who walk on all fours but have the use of thumbs and hands.  They are exceptionally strong, maybe even moreso than the Gravitons, and learn very slowly.  They speak in broken words, and think a simple sentences and concepts.  Many young are trained as bodyguards, and treated as animals, and many don't know that this is wrong.  A lot of trainers beat the young to assert themselves as being dominant, as they are evolving from pack animals, who did this in the wild.

Humans:

There many different races of humans, but they are more alike than the  clans of Mutants, or Thunderians, or Mutants.  Their differences are not even internal, only external, and can include skin color, eye shape, and other  such features.   They are bipeds, like the other races, and like the Lunattacks, they   do not have fur.  They have hair on their heads, and very fine hair over their bodies.

They are not physically strong compared to most of the Thunderians and Mutants, but are usually more adaptable, and are very intelligent.

They come from many places in the galaxy, including some that live on Thundera, and Plundaar and its moons, and countless other planets in the galaxy.  When their native planet was nearly destroyed not once, but twice, they had to find new places to live. Again, this shows their adaptability when faced with adversity.

Bolkins:Bolkins hail from Third Earth, where they live in tiny villages.  Bolkins tend to be simple folk, with little need for material possessions.  They are normally quiet, or even shy and timid, though you have exceptions,  as with all races.  Bolkin adults rarely exceed four feet in height, and are usually slim in stature.  It is widely belived, though no one knows for sure, that Bolkins evolved from sheep or goats from First or Second Earth, possibly aided along by genetic experimentation.  Bolkins are fairly tough and adaptable people.  Though they are evolved enough to learn how to build modern technology, many choose to live simply, with no engines; farming or gathering what they need to survive.  They can eat meat, though most do not; it does not digest easily.

Wollos:

Wollos also hail from Third Earth, though they live in larger cities with stone buildings and cobbled, if not paved roads.  Their tech level does not include internal combustion engines, but they do have steam technology.  It is unknown what creatures they evolved from, but many think it was some kind of canine, or perhaps raccoon or wolverine-like stock.  Wollos are generally peaceful, but will fight if necessary.  They are fairly affluent.  Not rich, not poor.  Like the Bolkins, they are small in stature, most never reaching heights of five feet.  The females are often taller than the males, though males are stockier.

Tabbots

Tabbots are another Third Earth native, evolved from pigs and boars.  They live in small, closely-knit communities, and are often quite rich.  They are about the same height, generally, as humans, with about as much variation.  They are quite stocky, though, and gain weight quite easily.  It is okay, health-wise, for a Tabbot to be somewhat fat; it's if they start having trouble walking that the fat is getting into unhealthy realms.  On the other hand, a very skinny Tabbot is a sign that something is wrong with him.

Many of them are taught that the Tabbot race is superior, and taught that money is very important, but this is not, by any means, inborn.  It is taught.  Those of the Tabbot race who are poor or even only middle class are often treated as inferior, and get the most menial jobs.

Nai

Nai are coast-dwelling people who live on Third Earth.  They look very much like humans in body, but their skin comes in shades of purple.  Their hair is either thin and straight, or so tightly curled that it almost looks like their hair is made from little marbles.  Though less technologically advanced than humans, and less inclined to go to war or even fight, the Nais' bahaviors is a lot like humans'.

They live from fish, mostly, and are fisherman by trade.  They live along the coasts of the ocean, and are natural swimmers.  Even a newborn Nai can keep himself afloat by sheer instinct.  They generally cannot eat very spicy foods, or very heavy foods, because it does  not digest well.

Elves

There are many elvin races througout the know galaxies, and their general personalities vary greatly.   They look a lot like humans, though are generally taller, average being anywhere from 6 to 7 feet tall.  They are slim; in fact most eat very little, and do not easily gain weight.  Some people mistakenly beleive a very slim elf to be malnourished or ill, but if the muscle and skin is smooth, and bones are not jutting out, it doesn't matter how skinny they are; they is not an indication of ill health.  They can eat mostly anything that a human can, and some things that humans can't; make sure you have a Healer nearby or quickly accessible who knows of elvin biology before adopting an elvin child.
