Raanan
Information:
History:
Raanan is a gargoyle. It is fairly rare
to see one outside the dimension they come from, but this one's circumstance
is a bit odd. I know very little about his early life, for Raanan
does not remember, and no one else knows. But Raanan was found by
a recent CONTROL slave-raid on a tiny jungle planet on the fringes of CONTROL's
jurisdiction. The planet is run by a human called Joe Gregor, aka
Safari Joe, and he is known for hunting down and capturing sentient beings
for his safari planet. The safari planet has a large zoo, and several
areas where guests may hunt and kill various prey, for a fee.
Raanan was set up there as Safari Joe's prized exhibit in the zoo proper, right in the middle, and was found there by the slave raid. He was treated, in all respects, like an animal. If he misbehaved, electric shock was used for punishment or subduing. (We still haven't caught Gregor - he's a slippery bastard!)

Personality:
Raanan is a fiercely devoted child, quite loyal
to those he considers family. He is easily alarmed, but even when
he is scared, his first thought is not for himself, but for whomever he
is protecting. Even as young as he is (five years old, standard measure
- 2004) he's wildly protective. He's taken a liking to Tocho, and
has amazingly quickly earned the cub's trust. He doesn't talk much,
but the impression he gives is not rude or unfriendly, just quietly content.
Likes:
Protecting, jumping off of high things, being
part of a big family, roughousing, ice cream (he's never had it before
now), running, hoverbikes, board games, books, protecting, Tocho, reptiles,
bouncing a ball, rattles (the tribal type).
Dislikes:
Safari Joe, zoos, small animals (hard to be gentle
with the fragile ones), slavers, people who like causing harm, bullies,
criminals, hunters (there are garyogle hunters, as well as fae hunters),
loud noises, being scolded, failing whatever task he's attempting.
